👋 About Me
Hi! I’m Jenna — Owner & Bookkeeper of QuicKeeping Services LLC, a fully remote bookkeeping business located in eastern South Dakota. I help small business owners organize QuickBooks chaos, keep transactions in order, and survive financial disasters — all without judgment (yes, we see that one transaction you forgot existed).
I started over a decade ago as an accounting clerk — which is accountant-speak for “I stare at numbers for fun and sometimes talk to them when no one is watching.” In 2015, I earned my Associate’s degree in Administrative Professional from Milwaukee Area Technical College in West Allis, Wisconsin (I’m a proud Wisconsin native!) and dove into accounting roles that taught me how to handle tricky numbers, chase runaway invoices, and survive coffee shortages.
In 2017, I became a Full Charge Bookkeeper at a small business in Brookings, South Dakota. The previous bookkeeper left a financial jungle behind, the software was mysterious, and there was no one to teach me in person — just a software manager on the phone. I dove in, learned everything from scratch, and cleaned up the mess. Chaos into order? Pure euphoria.
By 2021, I launched QuicKeeping Services LLC to work with all kinds of businesses, not just one. After leaving the dealership in 2022, I focused on helping clients keep their transactions in order and survive QuickBooks disasters — all while keeping their sanity intact.
Why I Love Bookkeeping
Bookkeeping isn’t boring — it’s chaotic, challenging, and ridiculous at times. Like when a transaction mysteriously duplicates itself three times and you start questioning reality, a receipt from 2019 shows up like it just took a wrong turn through a wormhole, or a spreadsheet that refuses to balance no matter how many times you threaten it with deletion.
Messy QuickBooks files? I eat those for breakfast. Receipts scattered across emails and apps? I’ll corral them into perfect order faster than you can say ‘missing decimal.’ Transactions in the wrong accounts? I’ll shepherd them home like an overachieving sheepdog. Being highly organized isn’t just a skill — it’s my superpower, and I can turn a messy QuickBooks file into something that actually makes sense.
Some people think bookkeepers are dull. I disagree. Bookkeepers are secret superheroes of small business — we fix the unfixable, find the lost and hidden, and keep all your secrets safe. And yes, we sometimes talk to numbers like they’re coworkers. But I promise, I’m the fun kind of bookkeeper: calm, accurate, and just chaotic enough to make the process entertaining.
What I Bring to the Table
When I’m Not Bookkeeping
You can usually find me camping, traveling, or trying foods that look scary but taste amazing. Adventures are my jam — in the wild or inside a messy QuickBooks file (metaphorically speaking).
My Philosophy
Bookkeeping doesn’t have to be scary or stressful. I organize the chaos, straighten out transactions, and make your numbers behave!
